Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the Emily Bieber, Soprano Blog! I’m creating this blog so you can follow me as I take baby steps through the world of professional music. Our journey begins today, the first full day of employment at Quisisana Resort in Maine. This summer I’m spending three months here to work as a waitress in the dining hall and sing the role of Adele in Die Fledermaus. Tonight we had an open singing night so we could hear all the other singers, both opera and musical theater.

I was blown away by the talent that’s here. I feel both intimidated and inspired to work with these people. It’s really exciting knowing that by the end of the summer we’ll all be friends and we’ll have put together a few great shows!

If you get the chance to ever visit Quisisana Resort in Maine, I highly recommend it. I will let you know how rehearsals go, they start tomorrow!
